highway man

In the dark eerie night
When the highwayman gallops through the slashing cold wind and thick wild woods
A hooded solitary silhouette lurks near the weeping willow tree.

In the distant windfalls drop with a deadly silence
The cataract cascades ominously
Numbness spreads as the shadow paces listlessly
Blind in lightless night, deaf in the noiseless forest
